As Chief of Public Affairs at d.velop, he oversees regulatory affairs and compliance on the corporate side. As Vice President of BITMi — a separate, distinct role — he represents 2,500+ mid-sized IT companies directly to the federal government, the Bundestag and EU institutions, in direct dialogue with federal ministries and ongoing legislative processes, not just on panels. He brings insight from both sides of the table: the operational leadership of a company and the regulatory framework that shapes its success. Moving into a new industry is not a risk for him, but the method he has worked with for more than two decades.
Digital sovereignty is not a buzzword to him but a model with three clear dimensions: technological, operational and data sovereignty. He advocates this publicly — from panels with federal government representatives to positions on legislative processes in which BITMi participates as a registered lobby group in the Bundestag.
